Frequently Asked Questions:
Q. Will anyone know I'm having counselling?
A: No. Counselling is a confidential service. We discuss together any limits to this confidentiality, for example around harm to self or others.
Q. How much does counselling cost?
A: The fee for individual sessions is £35.00 for each 50 minute session. The fee for couple counselling is £40.00 per session. Concessions may be available, please contact me to discuss this further. Session fees must be paid at each session.
Q. How can I contact you?
A: You can contact me by phone on 07745614966 or 01795 521872. There is a confidential voice mail when I am unavailable. Please leave your name, telephone number and a brief message and I will contact you upon my return. You can also email me on email@example.com or fill in the Enquiry Form which you will find on the Contact Me page.
Q. What hours are you available?
A: Appointments for counselling are available between 9.00am and 8.00pm Monday to Friday. Saturday 9.00am to 12.00 noon. Appointments outside of these times are considered.
Counselling is by appointment only!
Q. How many sessions will I need?
A: Upon receiving your inquiry you will be asked to come for an initial assessment to explore your needs and to see what kind of help would best suit you.
Everyones needs are treated individually and the number of sessions is a mutual decision made together.
After our first session we will be able to establish roughly how long we might work together.
I work with both short term clients (1 - 24 sessions), and longer term clients (this could be years or open ended).
Q. What happens if i need to cancel an appointment?
A: If you cancel within 24 hours there may be a fee for missed appointments.
Q. Do you make any guarantees to "fix" me?
A: No. Counselling is not about "fixing" people, but enabling each client to work through unresolved issues or understand behaviours. Counselling is not an advice giving service.
Q. Where are you located?
A: I am located in Teynham with parking available. There are also bus and train services which run frequently within 300 yards.
